Authorities say a resident of Chicago's North Side found boxes full of confidential records from special education students at Chicago's Lake View High School in an alley behind his home. The resident who found the records in a trash bin Saturday says they included health records, parents' information, pictures and even Social Security numbers.

"I don't have any children in CPS, but if I did I would really hope that the school would take better care of their records, especially confidential information like this," said Art Kuesel, who found the records.

Chicago Public Schools says it is conducting an internal investigation, along with Chicago police, to determine how the sensitive records ended up in the trash.
