Trial starts for man charged with Loop assaults

June 3, 2009 (CHICAGO) Gregory Perdue of Berwyn is charged with aggravated battery for incidents in April 2008. Perdue is charged with attacking six individuals. One of the six victims was ABC 7's Cheryl Burton.

Some of Perdue's victims testified in court today including a woman who helped police find Perdue after being attacked.

Two examinations have indicated Perdue is legally insane.
