According to family, the victim is a 54-year-old man. He was found dead around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, stabbed in the neck.
Police say the suspect in custody is a 49-year-old woman who lives in the building and that this may be a domestic crime.
The victim's cousin and roommate says the man was found dead on his girlfriend's kitchen floor.
The landlord, who owns the building, lives on the fourth floor. He was an established developer in the area who was trying to sell the new condos.
"He never took advantage of nobody. He always tell people that live in the building, they love him so much. I think they are going to miss him," said Wissam Zaia, victim's cousin.
No charges have been filed yet.
