ComEd reports drop in customers

July 24, 2009 (CHICAGO) CEO Frank Clark reported Friday that the utility has 17,00 fewer customers this year.

ComEd has nearly 4 million customers in its northern Illinois service territory.

Clark said he is not sure what is causing the drop off in customers but believes it might be due to people losing their homes to foreclosure and moving in with friends or family.
