The water taxi service gives commuters another option. Alderman Brendan Reilly says he hopes this will be a success.
"We're really excited about it today and hopefully this will expand onto other locations downtown to serve our visitors, our commuters and our residents which continue to come down here in droves," said Ald. Reilly, 42nd Ward.
Chicago has two water taxi services.
