More than 100 arrested in drug bust

October 29, 2009 (CHICAGO) The six-month long operation targeted drug and gun trafficking in the northwest suburbs. The investigation is nicknamed Operation Room Service. It focused on criminal activity at motels and hotels just south of O'Hare Airport.

"In the individual hotels you went to, depending on what narcotic you wanted, you would go to a different room, so behind door number 1, might be heroin, behind door number 2 might be cocaine, behind door number 3 might be marijuana," said Tom Dart, Cook County Sheriff.

At a town hall meeting called by Dart this summer, some residents living nearby raised concerns about the criminal activity. The sheriff says investigators were already working undercover, but the complaints helped them zero in on specific targets.
