Jim Ryan filing for run for governor

Former Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan is filing his candidacy petitions Monday to run for governor on the Republican ticket.Monday is the deadline for candidates to file for the February primary.

Ryan will make his run official with an announcement Tuesday in Springfield on the state Capitol grounds.

Ryan lost to ousted former Governor Blagojevich in 2002.

He's been teaching at Benedictine University in Lisle.
