Also killed was 87-year-old Ardella Wells, Darnell Wells' mother.
So far, police have cited Darnell Wells with disobeying a red light and driving without insurance.

November 15, 2009 (CHICAGO) Investigators say Darnell Wells, 52, was driving a Chevy Malibu northbound on State Street, passed a red light and struck another car that was attempting to make a left turn onto 75th Street. That car was being driven by 27-year-old Christoper Chapman, who was killed.
