Group hands out currency Braille markers

November 25, 2009 (CHICAGO) Advocates for People with Disabilities handed out currency Braille markers at Water Tower Place today.

They were joined by Scott Lee Cohen -- a democratic candidate for lieutenant governor.

The markers can be used to raise Braille dots on dollar bills for different currency amounts by pressing the devices on the bills.

The groups are encouraging shoppers to mark their paper money to help the blind and prevent discrimination against the visually impaired.
