A Chicago group is urging young people to come forward and help stop the violence.Four large signs will go up with a phone number that people can call to provide information about crime in their neighborhoods.

It's all part of an effort the group Kids Off the Block is spearheading.

A spokesperson says callers can leave a recorded message, and they will not have to leave their names.

The signs will go up near Julian, Fenger and Harlan high schools, as well as by Olive-Harvey college.
