Chicago's art community is celebrating the completion of a vibrant mural that can be seen along the Kennedy Expressway.

The mural was designed by high school junior Layla Ehsan. The 17-year-old's masterpiece was chosen from 40 student submissions.

The mural spans 8,600 square feet on three walls of the building along the Kennedy near Ashland.

Ehsan is part of Chicago's After School Matters program which offers teenagers several out-of-school activities including art.
