Researchers in Cleveland say they may have made a discovery that could lead to a cure for breast cancer.

After eight years of study, researchers at the Cleveland Clinic say they have developed a vaccine that can prevent breast cancer tumors from forming in animals while stopping the growth of existing tumors.

They expect to begin human trials next year.

The research will appear in the scientific journal Nature Medicine.
