The accident took place about 10:30 Tuesday night on Lake Michigan at Calumet Harbor. Six adults were found on the break wall near 95th Street when the Coast Guard arrived. The 38-foot boat did not sink but it did sustain $150,000 in damage.
Lawrence Fenzau, 41, of Orland Park was charged. Police say he refused a breathalyzer test.
No one was hurt.
