Man makes car bomb threat during downtown robbery

A man with a gun threatened to set off a car bomb as he robbed an American Express office in the 600-block of N. Michigan Ave. on Wednesday.

He also claimed to have links to Al Qaida.

Chicago police believe he got away with 15,000 euros and some other currency.

No one was injured.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Chicago police.
