9 hurt in West Side CTA bus accident

August 6, 2010 (CHICAGO) Police say the car rear-ended the bus.

About 8 a.m., an EMS Plan 1-- which automatically calls five ambulances -- was called, said Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado. It was secured at 8:20 a.m.

Nine passengers were injured when the no. 12 Roosevelt CTA bus was rear-ended by a car while at a stop on South Central Park, said CTA spokesperson Sheila Gregory.

The bus driver was not injured.
