ESPN's Mariotti arrested in Los Angeles

ESPN analyst and former Chicago Sun-Times columnist Jay Mariotti has been arrested in Los Angeles. The L.A. Times reports that he was taken into custody overnight after a physical altercation with his girlfriend. The L.A. County sheriff's website confirms that Mariotti was arrested.

Los Angeles police sources say Mariotti allegedly got into an argument with his girlfriend at a club, and the argument reportedly continued at the couple's apartment.

Mariotti can be seen on the ESPN show Around The Horn and writes for a sports website.

He is being held on $50,000 bail.
