Hearing loss appears to be on the rise in teens

New findings show one in five teens have at least slight hearing loss. Just a decade ago the rate was only one in seven.

There are also more teens with mild hearing loss. People with mild hearing loss may not hear a whisper.

Researchers speculate teens may not realize they are listening to music at dangerously high levels.

This study appears in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
