Lance Corporal Christopher Boyd, 23, was killed in Afghanistan last week. He played football at Palatine High School.
On Friday night, the team honored Lance Corporal Boyd with a moment of silence before its game against Lake Forest High School.
Lemont High School honored a 1997 graduate who was killed while responding to a restaurant fire in Chicago. Christopher Wheatley, 31, died earlier this month after falling from a fire escape ladder.
Wheatley's family and members of his engine company participated in Lemont High school's annual Hometown Heroes Night.
