Construction crews hit an electrical line and sparked a minor explosion Monday morning just outside U.S. Cellular Field on the South Side.

Crews hit the line while digging, causing an explosion that blew the doors off a small electrical room. The stadium was without power for some time.

The Commonwealth Edison electrical vault is located on 35th Street, just north of an overpass that leads to U.S. Cellular Field.

No one was hurt.

The White Sox were scheduled to play in Cleveland Monday night.
