Children evacuated after small school fire

Chicago Fire Department crews quickly extinguished a fire at Dvorak School, 3615 West 16th Street, Monday morning.

Children were briefly evacuated but nobody was injured or transported.

The fire was contained to the electrical vault of the school. ComEd was called to the school as well.

"The fire is out but the school is without phones and electricity," said CPS spokeswoman Monique Bond.

The students were evacuated to Penn School, 1616 S. Avers.
