The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park at Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison streets was supposed to open Wednesday but was unable to because of warm weather.
It begins the tenth season for the rink, which draws more than 100,000 skaters annually.
The rink is free and open to the public. Skate rental is available for $10.
Hours are Monday-Thursday 12 p.m.-8 p.m.; Friday 12 p.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Beginning Jan. 8, Saturday hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
