Participants could break out their "tutus" and release their inner 'sugar plum fairies' or toy soldiers at the Chicago Cultural Center.
First, the dancers were invited to a workshops so they could practice. Members of Art Reaching Children of Chicago taught basic ballet positions and movements.
Then, the dancers were invited to show their stuff during two performances.
