Emanuel's wife could face questions on residency

December 8, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Election lawyer Burt Odelson says the former White House chief of staff doesn't meet residency requirements because he lived most of the past two years in Washington, D.C.

Odelson says Emanuel's wife and realtor should testify at an election board hearing next week.

The tenants in Emanuel's home on the North Side, Rob and Laurie Halpin, are also expected to testify. They've refused to end their lease so the Emanuel family can move back in.

Filings made Tuesday indicate Emanuel wants to testify on his own behalf and call seven other witnesses.
