Plywood Santa's gun causes controversy

A plywood Santa outside a California Christmas tree farm is causing a commotion because Santa is portrayed as a cowboy with a gun on his belt.

Some people in the small town near San Francisco are upset. But workers say the Santa has been there for 20 years and no one has ever complained before.

"I think it's pretty crazy to tell you the truth. I mean, we are just trying to sell trees out," said Bobby Vierra, Tracy Tree Farm.

"It portrays to the kids that it's OK for Santa to be carrying a gun, and therefore, its OK for them to be carrying a gun," said Monica Sliva, concerned resident.

The owners of the tree farm have since taken the display down.
