Last January, 24th Ward Alderman Sharon Dixon got into an altercation with police officers and firefighters when she arrived at the scene of a fire on the North Side.
Authorities say they smelled alcohol on Dixon's breath when she told them to move and then drove her car over a hose.
Dixon was arrested and spent the night in jail. She denies she was drunk and says she was mistreated.
"I am a person who has worked hard, a person who has played by the rules, a person who has asked nothing more than to have a level playing field, but none of it mattered on the morning of January 21st, 2009," Dixon said.
ABC7 was unable to reach the Chicago Police Department for a comment.
