It's been known for some time but a new review confirms that teen acne can have a major emotional toll.

Authors of the study in the Dermatology Online Journal found acne has a huge impact on people's lives and it is something worth treating...not just because of scarring.

The review found, overall, acne can negatively affect quality of life, self esteem and mood in adolescents. It was also associated with higher rates of anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts.
