A protest was held Friday against plans to close and consolidate a number of Chicago Public Schools.

Parents and students marched outside CPS headquarters on South Clark.

They say they're worried about a number of issues including overcrowding, fewer resources and getting their children to and from a new school.

CPS officials have said they need to make changes to deal with a $720 million deficit.

The proposed changes would affect about 4,800 students.
