A special concert Saturday night in Chicago celebrated the beatification of Pope John Paul II.

The Paderewski Symphony Orchestra performed at St. Hyacinth's Basilica on the northwest side. The Chicago group bills itself as the largest musical institution outside the late pope's homeland dedicated to the popularization of polish music and culture.

After the concert, parishioners were invited to stay up all night and watch the beatification ceremony.
