A north suburban school is warning its students and parents about a bacterial infection that could easily spread.

Evanston Township High School sent out a letter saying a student was diagnosed with the illness over the weekend. The city's health department says it could be spread through nose and throat secretions. Some of the symptoms include high fever, headaches and vomiting.

The school says it's notifying everyone as a precaution, and is urging anyone with these symptoms to seek treatment.
