Dogs rescued from floodwaters up for adoption

May 18, 2011

Humane Society crews found them in Metropolis, Ill, one of the areas hardest hit by floods. They're being treated at animal hospitals until they're well enough for adoption.

Two of them -- Clark and Kent -- are ready for new owners.

Rescuers say the little survivors and their mates deserve loving families.

"People don't realize how horrible it is...it gives them a safe place. And if they can't reclaim them, we make sure we find them places to go," said Renee Cantalupo who helped rescue the dogs.
