Study: Flu vaccine effective whether sprayed or injected

Here's something children 3 and younger and even parents might be glad to hear: When it comes to the flu vaccine, protection seems to be the same whether it's delivered with an injection or a nasal spray.

So, if you have a young one that hates getting the shot, the spray is a good option.

And another bonus: According to a new federal study, the spray had the broadest immune response. That means it could boost a child's protection against many diverse flu strains.
