Loren-Maltese: Garage sale did 'pretty good'

Former Cicero town president Betty Loren-Maltese says her garage sale did "pretty good" despite the rain that forced her to cancel Sunday's sale.

Loren-Maltese would not say exactly how much money she collected. In her words: "That's between me, my probation officer, and the government."

She told ABC7 that she pays the government 20 percent of her salary and 30 percent of her widow's pension as federal restitution from her conviction on corruption charges.

However, Loren-Maltese is not sure how big of a cut the government will claim from her garage sale.
