World trade leaders meet in Chicago

Trade ministers from Pacific rim nations began meeting in Chicago Tuesday for the latest round of talks on a new trade zone.

The talks are taking place at the Hilton and Towers on South Michigan Avenue.

On Labor Day, the hotel was the site of a rally by union activists and community groups that fear a new trade agreement will lead to the loss of U.S. jobs.

Supporters of the new trade deal argue that it will generate business, create more jobs and protect U.S. patents and trademarks from being pirated.
