Taxpayers have spent more than $300,000 for security for former Mayor Richard Daley and Ald. Edward Burke since Mayor Rahm Emanuel took office, according to Monday's Sun-Times.Emanuel has announced plans to reduce Burke's detail from four full-time officers to two retired officers.
He also cut Daley's security from five officers to three.
