November 11, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The Chicago History Museum was the site of Amy Duong and Howard Kim's fairy tale wedding and reception that followed. Duong had that special glow that all brides have on their wedding day. Kim said he had been looking forward to this day his entire life.

The bride's father is thrilled not to have to pay for the 11/11/11 wedding giveaway valued at $60,000.

"Amy feels lucky," he said.

"Our heart is full of happiness and pride," said Dr. David Kim, groom's father.

The couple won the free wedding through a contest coordinated by Greatest Expectations Special Events and Weddings. Couples entered by telling their love story .

"The fact that we were winners and were granted this is something that we will be indebted for for the rest of our lives," said Howard Kim.

"This has been an amazing and wonderful experience. All the vendors, the sponsors, part of this amazing giveaway, have been, I mean, more than words describe," said Duong.

This is the second 11/11/11 wedding giveaway for the company. Everything, from food to formal wear, flowers to the last dance, was included thanks to many of Chicago's top wedding professionals.

"In the climate of the world today, we just wanted to do something really nice for somebody that deserves good luck and good fortune," said Heather Lynne Vickery, Greatest Expectations Specials Events and Weddings.

Kim is Korean and Duong is Chinese. On Thursday, they had a Korean wedding ceremony. On Friday they will have the Chinese tea ceremony and on Saturday there will be another party as the couple blends their cultures and traditions.

"There is a great deal of mutual respect," said Kim.

"We have loved every second of it," said Duong.
