The Salvation Army fulfilled a Thanksgiving tradition Thursday by serving holiday meals to the needy, including some who are homeless.

One of the feeding sites was at the army's Harbor Light Center in the 1500-block of West Monroe.

The center served 1,200 complete dinners.

Some 500 of the meals were served in the center.

The army's mobile outreach unit delivered the other 700 meals to various locations.
