Walsh currently represents the 8th Congressional District. But a redrawn congressional map means he now lives in the 14th Congressional District. Republican Randy Hultgren is the incumbent there.
ABC7's news partner the Daily Herald reports that Walsh met with Darlene Ruscitti, a candidate for the 8th District, Monday to discuss the move.
If Walsh were to move, it would avoid a nasty primary battle between the two men.
