A group of wounded veterans who are big sports fans took batting practice Thursday night.

Seven vets got their batting practice in at the Bulls-Sox Academy in Lisle.

The academy has a top-notch reputation for training people in baseball and basketball.

The veterans involved Thursday night were getting ready to take part in White Sox Fantasy Camp later in January in Arizona.

The academy, a group called Salute Incorporated, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago are helping to make that possible.
