Alderman faces election commissioners

Ald. Howard Brookins Jr., went before the Chicago Board of Election commissioners Wednesday in an effort to get on the March ballot.

Brookins wants to run for re-election as a committeeman.

He needed 939 signatures to get on the ballot. Brookins submitted 1,300 but after challenges, he came up short.

The primary is March 20.
