Protest held outside Metra meeting

They also went inside to tell the board that minority contractors are not getting a fair share of the work on the Flyover Bridge project in the Englewood community. Protesters want the contract on the project re-bid.

"Cut us in or cut it out. Out of an $87 million contract, a $112,000 dollars going to a black firm, a security firm, that's totally unacceptable,"

Recently Metra said it won't award a construction contract until a June meeting. That's one month later than originally planned.
