Participants chose between a one or three mile walk, and a 5K run.
ABC7's Evelyn Holmes and photographer Mike Locashio ran the race to honor their mothers and caught up with the CEO of Y-Me.
"We're here to assure that no one goes through breast cancer alone," Cindy Geoghegan said. "As a 16-year breast cancer survivor, I know what it's like when somebody uses cancer and your name in the same sentence, and our hotline is there 24-7 in 150 different languages."
The goal of Sunday's race was to raise $3.5 million.
The money goes to help Y-Me provide breast cancer support to anyone who needs it.
