Facebook user class action lawsuit filed

May 18, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The $15 billion class-action lawsuit was filed Friday in California on the same day facebook stock began trading on the Nasdaq market.

The suit claims facebook tracks users' movements even after they've left the facebook site and through its "like" button, which violates the U.S. Wiretap Act.

The lawsuit seeks damages of up to $10,000 per facebook user.
