Man allegedly touched girls at St. Charles Target

May 22, 2012 (ST. CHARLES, ILL.)

The 13-year-old girl told police she was at a Target Store, located at 3885 East Main Street in St. Charles, Ill., on May 15 when a man approached her near the exit doors. She told officials the man touched her inappropriately and then followed her around the store.

The child went to an adult for help. Police say she then identified Nicholas Edward Muniz, 24, from an earlier newspaper report about similar allegations of inappropriate conduct at the same store.

Muniz was charged with Battery and Disorderly conduct in the May 15 case. Bail was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 21, 2012.

In the earlier incidents, May 11 and May 12, Muniz is accused of inappropriately touching a two girls, 16 and 14, respectively. Using video surveillance from the Target store, police tracked Muniz through his license plate registration. He was arrested on May 13 at the store without incident. At that time he was released on cash bond.
