Cops: 4 got out of limo, attacked people at random near Wrigley Field

July 9, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Police say Corry Simmons, 32; Donald Robinson Jr., 31; Alvin Goffin, 32; and Edward Robinson, 31, got out of a white stretch limo and started hitting people on the street near Clark and Sheffield early Sunday morning, around 1 a.m., while other people still in the limo videotaped it.

Three victims, unidentified men all in their 20s, were injured. Police say one 27-year-old victim suffered a broken jaw and was treated at Illinois Masonic.

One officer injured his knee while taking one of the offenders into custody, police say.

One of the alleged attackers was charged with resisting arrest. All four suspects face charges including mob action and aggravated battery.

The people who are said to have been in the limo recording the attack have not been arrested. Others participating in the attack may have fled the scene.
