Bud Billiken Parade king and queen selected

The king and queen of Chicago's Bud Billiken Parade were selected at the Museum of Science and Industry on Sunday.

Autumn Caldwell, 10, will be the parade's queen. Caldwell is a student at Chicago's Kate Starr Kellogg Elementary.

Dakota James, 10, was named king. He attends Muhammad University of Islam in the city's South Shore area.

The 83rd Bud Billiken Parade takes place Saturday. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for African Americans through educational, cultural and social programs, according to the parade's website.
