AT&T pushes pledge against texting and driving

AT&T is asking customers to take a pledge against texting and driving.

The U.S. Transportation secretary is calling crashes caused by text messaging a "national epidemic." AT&T is asking customers to sign a pledge saying they won't do it.

Illinois is one of 39 states that bans texting while driving.

Other wireless carriers including Verizon and Sprint also have public awareness campaigns on the issue.
