A Crystal Lake man is facing new drunk driving charges three years after he was convicted of a DUI crash that killed a TV news anchor.

Scott Hirschey was arrested July 27 for a misdemeanor count of DUI. He was later released on $3,000 bond.

Hirschey was last charged with DUI back in January 2008 in Wisconsin. Police say he lost control of a snowmobile he was riding on with his good friend and Chicago news anchor Randy Salerno.

Salerno died in the crash. Hirschey was sentenced to three years probation in July 2009.
