The family of a man whose death at a suburban nursing home was heat-related has hired a law firm to investigate.

Bill Grauf, 60, was found unresponsive on the rooftop of Concord Place retirement and assisted living community in Northlake. That was four days after the facility was evacuated because of a power outage during the July heat wave. Firefighters carried about people down 15 flights of stairs when the air conditioning went out.
