2 firefighters hurt battling Far Southeast Side blaze

Two firefighters were transported to hospitals following an overnight fire on the Chicago's Far Southeast Side.

The extra-alarm fire broke out at a home near 102nd Street and Ewing and spread to a commercial building before being extinguished.

In the process, one firefighter was cut on the face while another suffered from exhaustion.

No residents were hurt.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
