Some entrances and exits were closed at approximately 7:30 p.m. due to flooding on the ramps and under some viaducts. The biggest impact was water in the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive between North and Grand Avenues.
The lanes were reopened by Monday morning.
One driver said his car got caught in flood waters, but he was able to push it out.
"It was up to the door jam, not flooding my car, but it was up to like mid-calf on me, so, it was pretty deep," said Wesley Klockoswki.
Reports also said all ramps and viaducts between Chicago and North Avenue were flooded Sunday evening.
